MCDC is now partnering with 1st Choice Family Solutions to offer referrals and assistance with foreclosure prevention, home loan modifications, and debt resolution. Office hours are the second and fourth Monday of every month from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM, and Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:30 until 9:00 PM. The location is the MCDC Family Life Center located at 8238 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Technology Training

Technology training is now being offered by Digital Bridge in collaboration with MCDC and the African Cultural and Resource Center (ACRC). Registration is now in progress for classes located at the ACRC on Forest Glen Road in Silver Spring, Maryland. Training includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Powerpoint, Publisher, Access, and website design. Classes are offered on throughout the week. Career Club

Legal Services

The goal of MCDC's Legal Services program is to provide low-cost legal counsel, including consultations on family law, debts, tenant/landlord contracts, guardianship, name changes, and other issues. In addition, the Legal Services program refers constituents to the full scope of low-cost legal services in Montgomery County. Consultations every other Monday at MCDC headquarters in Silver Spring. Diversity Visa Lottery

Annual registration for the Diversity Lottery (DV-2012) program will begin on October 5 and last until November 3, 2010. This registration gives you an opportunity to become a permanent resident in the USA, and also to apply for your family members and friends. Please apply as soon as possible. Job Readiness Fair 2011

MCDC annually hosts a Job Readiness Fair which seeks to prepare members of the community with essential job skills. Also, MCDC has seen several companies visit the fair searching for new employees. For more information, click here.

Camp4Kids 2011

Annually, MCDC runs a Summer Camp specialized to give low-income families the opportunity to send their children to a haven. The children learn about various things such as the history of the United States of America, they visit different museums in the metropolitan area, and enjoy their summer with kids from different cultures.
